In 1961 in Modena (Italy), the brothers Panini, newspaper sellers, have the idea to sell soccer players' images to be stuck in an album. It is the first time when they left chocolate bars and other products, to become a full.

What we know less, it is that this brand also proposed numerous figurines since the 90s to this day. They are often occasions of the other brands as etc. excepted Bully, Kinder, at least the Western series of 1993.
